{"id":140,"date":"2012-10-16T22:20:00","date_gmt":"2012-10-17T02:20:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/muphiepsilonnycac.org\/wordpress\/?page_id=140"},"modified":"2012-10-16T22:20:00","modified_gmt":"2012-10-17T02:20:00","slug":"jennifer-oloughlin","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/muphiepsilonnycac.org\/wordpress\/?page_id=140","title":{"rendered":"Jennifer O&#8217;Loughlin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Soprano <strong>Jennifer O\u2019Loughlin<\/strong> has appeared in operatic performances in Ludwigsburg, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and is currently in residence at the Vienna\u00a0 <em>Volksoper<\/em>.\u00a0 She has performed the roles of Susanna <strong><em>(The Marriage of Figaro)<\/em><\/strong>, the Baroness in Lortzing\u2019s <strong><em>Der Wildsch\u00fctz<\/em><\/strong>, Frasquita <strong><em>(Carmen)<\/em><\/strong>, Pamina <strong><em>(Die Zauberfl\u00f6te)<\/em><\/strong>, Ann Trulove <strong><em>(The Rake\u2019s Progress)<\/em><\/strong>, Alice <strong><em>(Falstaff)<\/em><\/strong>, Dew Fairy <strong><em>(Hansel and Gretel)<\/em><\/strong>, Second Woman <strong><em>(Dido and Aeneas)<\/em><\/strong>, and the Rooster <strong><em>(The Cunning Little Vixen)<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 Ms. O\u2019Loughlin has performed with conductors Gary Wedow (New York City Opera) and James Conlon and has appeared in concert at the Aspen Music Festival with the American Conducting Academy Orchestra in a performance of Berlioz\u2019 <strong><em>Les Nuits d\u2019\u00c9t\u00e9<\/em><\/strong> and the American premiere of Zemlinsky\u2019s <em>\u201cMaiblumen bl\u00fcten uber all\u201d<\/em> for soprano and string sextet.\u00a0 She has also appeared at the 92<sup>nd<\/sup> Street Y in a concert of Poulenc songs with members of the Paris Opera and the Metropolitan Opera.\u00a0 She has appeared as guest artist with the Handel Choir of Baltimore, the River City Brass Band in Pittsburgh, and the Brooklyn Choral Society in performances of Bach\u2019s <em>\u201cMass in B Minor\u201d<\/em> and <em>\u201cMagnificat\u201d<\/em> and with the Montr\u00e9al Symphony as a finalist in the <em>Jeunesses Musicales International Vocal Competition<\/em> performing works by Donizetti, Mozart, Saint-Sa\u00ebns, Verdi, Bach, Gounod &amp; Strauss.\u00a0 Ms. O\u2019Loughlin received her Bachelor of Music Degree from the Peabody Conservatory of Music and Master of Music Degree from the Manhattan School of Music where she studied with Ruth Drucker and Joan Patenaude-Yarnell in addition to master classes with Dalton Baldwin, Evelyn Lear, Thomas Stewart, Richard Hundley, and Janet Bookspan.\u00a0 Ms. O\u2019Loughlin was Grand Prizewinner of the <em>PoulencPlus!<\/em> Competition and has received the Baltimore Music Club\u2019s Carolyn Kohner Voice Award and the Rosa Ponselle Foundation Silver Rose Award.\u00a0 She was nominated Best Actress for the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera\u2019s Gene Kelly Awards in the roles of Cinderella <strong><em>(Into the Woods)<\/em><\/strong> and Maria <strong><em>(West Side Story)<\/em><\/strong> and has been a finalist in the Liederkranz Competition, the MacAllister Awards, and the International Young Concert Artists Competition.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Soprano Jennifer O\u2019Loughlin has appeared in operatic performances in Ludwigsburg, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and is currently in residence at the Vienna\u00a0 Volksoper.\u00a0 She has performed the roles of Susanna (The Marriage of Figaro), the Baroness in Lortzing\u2019s Der Wildsch\u00fctz, Frasquita &hellip;
