Giovanni e Paolo, Venice.\u00a0 She has also appeared with the Manhattan Choral Society under the direction of Dino Anagnost in <strong><em>Orfeo e Euridice<\/em><\/strong>, Dvorak\u2019s <strong><em>Stabat Mater<\/em><\/strong>, and Handel\u2019s <strong><em>Messiah<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 Active in regional theatre, Ms. Madden has performed\u00a0 the roles of\u00a0 Laurie <strong><em>(Oklahoma)<\/em><\/strong>, Frenchy <strong><em>(Destry Rides Again)<\/em><\/strong>, Martha Jefferson <strong><em>(1776)<\/em><\/strong>, Susan <strong><em>(Company)<\/em><\/strong>, Sara <strong><em>(Guys &amp; Dolls)<\/em><\/strong>, and Antonia <strong><em>(Man of La Mancha)<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 Her most celebrated role for 5 years was as \u201cGrace Farrell\u201d in <strong><em>Annie<\/em><\/strong> which she played on Broadway at the Alvin Theatre and originated the role in both First and Second National Tour Companies appearing at the Schubert Theatre, Hollywood; the Curran Theatre, San Francisco; the Opera House of the Kennedy Center &amp; the National Theatre, Washington DC; and major theatres across the United States and Canada for a total of 1200 performances.\u00a0 She also appeared in special performances of <strong><em>Annie<\/em><\/strong> at the White House for President Ford and First Lady Betty Ford and for President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan.\u00a0 Additional Broadway and Off-Broadway credits include Betsy Ross <strong><em>(Stars and Stripes)<\/em><\/strong> at Town Hall; Eve <strong><em>(Viva Reviva)<\/em><\/strong> at the Open Space Theatre and Lenox Arts Center; Marie <strong><em>(Fiorello)<\/em><\/strong> and Vera Claythorne <strong><em>(Ten Little Indians)<\/em><\/strong> both at the Equity Library Theatre; and a Revue of <strong><em>Morse Code<\/em><\/strong> at the Manhattan Theatre Club &amp; Ballroom.\u00a0 Ms. Madden has been seen on film and television as Sara <strong><em>(Summer Dreams)<\/em><\/strong>, Elaine <strong><em>(Working Stiffs)<\/em><\/strong>, and Kathy <strong><em>(The Stock Market)<\/em><\/strong> and has also performed in a number of national singing commercials.\u00a0 In addition to her extraordinary musical career, Dr. Madden holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech, Drama &amp; English Education from the University of Maryland; a Master of Arts Degree, a Master of Philosophy Degree, and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Psychiatry and Religion from The Union Theological Seminary in New York City.
